Emily Murdock, founder of thinkcpr – a CPR and first aid training company – has been a whitewater raft guide for 18 years and has been certified in CPR every two years since 1994. She has worked professionally in the outdoor industry for 10 years and has traveled to remote locations such as the Grand Canyon, Sea of Cortez, western Brazil and southern Chile.
Emily is a registered nurse, trained in critical care, medical surgical, urgent care and hospice. She currently serves on the Yolo Hospice Board of Directors. She also has formal training and facilitation skill in group process. As an experiential-learning trainer and volunteer diversity education facilitator, Emily has conducted hundreds of trainings. She is skilled in creating an inclusive learning environment.
Emily is affiliated with Always CPR, an AHA Training Center.
Raeann is passionate about health, teaching, and the outdoors. She has a background in human biology, public health and health education. Her interest in the health field was first sparked when she began working as a lifeguard for several years in 2003. She then held various teaching positions and later decided to pursue a Masters in Public Health.
Raeann moved to the area in 2014 and began working as a Health Educator at UC Davis where she endeavored to received her CPR Instructor certification. She enjoys working in the Davis community and is thankful to have found opportunities to teach in a health context. She loves teaching CPR as it gives her the opportunity to connect with others who share her passion for helping others. Work aside, Raeann is an avid traveler and loves to run, bike, rock-climb, snowboard, raft and backpack.
Ahnna has been teaching AHA CPR classes for 4 years. She enjoys instilling confidence in and knowledge to save a life. She is a graduate of UC Berkeley and is currently applying to medical school. When she is not working as a Scribe in one of our local emergency rooms she is a volunteer firefighter and EMT for wildland fire incidents.
